fishing holes.
#1. Great areas for spring walleye and pike. Shallow gradual drop offs
near rivers mouth's. TIP: Try floating Rapala's & crawler rigs.
#2. Ledge drops off 3' - 8'
average some places 3' - 4' to 10'. Great for walleye or pike. TIP: Troll
ledge, (runs about 2 miles) Good any time of year. Real popular with ice
fisherman.
#3. Rock Pile - excellent in
spring for walleye, perch, pike and bass. Most popular fishing.
TIP: Slip-bobber and leach. Set at about 3' or if you like to troll - try
Rapala's floaters (5 to 11 sizes) All colors May 15 thru June 24th.
#4. Deep area usually holds good
walleye all year. Try early morning crawler harness. Average 10' to 12'
deep. Also good ice fishing for perch.
#5. Don't be afraid to go close
in, 6' to 9' deep. Good, all kinds of baits, jig's, drifting, put your
stuff out and run it.
#6. Golf course area good
walleye, pike, perch and muskie. Indian river runs out here and some of
the deepest water in the lake can be found in this area.
#7. Lang's Bay is a really
shallow area. Excellent for panfish almost all year long. Lots of pike and
walleye are here also. The #1 spot for perch when ice moves out in late
April.
#8. Flats, large area mostly 10'
some patchy areas with reed's will shallow up to 2' to 3' feet. You might
find some spring blue gills and crappies here June 1 thru 3rd week.
#9. The hole, approximately 50 x
60 feet wide,
approximately depth 12' to 20' deep. Small in size but holds perch in good
numbers all summer long and a few walleye.
